Over the course of twenty years, Andrea Belfi has gradually developed a distinctive drumming style, increasingly blending his experience in experimental music, electronic, rock and improvisation. He has been searching for a long time to find the true and refined sound of his music, and now, thanks to the Finnish Saari drums, he has reached the point of perfection. Ore puts the drums at the centre of a deep, hypnotic listening experience, where rhythm intertwines with electronic structures and mysterious sonic details. With the Nord Modular and the Sampler, he manages to seamlessly combine acoustic elements. On Ore, Belfi has achieved a masterful synthesis of these two sonic realms. He has released seven solo albums and more than 50 collaborations with various artists on prominent labels such as ROOM40, Miasmah, Häpna, Die Schachtel, Constellation, Blue Chopsticks. The list of artists Andrea Belfi has worked with includes Mike Watt, Carla Bozulich, David Grubbs, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Nils Frahm and many others.

Both as a soloist and in his many collaborations, Belfi has become renowned for his energetic and charismatic performances.

At the Barbican Centre in London, Belfi’s impressive and explosive solo, which set the stage on fire, instantly became the unforgettable highlight of the evening.
